Earth and Air Wellness is the premier acupuncture clinic in Contra Costa. We are third-generation acupuncturists with over 25 years of experience. We specialize in women's health, infertility and pain care. We treat a wide range of health challenges such as infertility, menopausal symptoms, and pain.

Our Story
Since 2011, Earth and Air Wellness Acupuncture has been providing expert compassionate care with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and nutrition. Our experienced team of doctors are trained extensively in the areas of women's health, infertility, pain care and autoimmune issues. Our goal is to provide natural, safe and effective solutions to your health concerns.

Maria Yung, L.Ac., DTCM, FABROM
Acupuncturist, Certified Fertility Specialist
Dr. Maria Yung is a third-generation practitioner of Chinese medicine, following a tradition started over 80 years ago by her grandmother, Dr. Bing Yin Lee. Dr. Maria has over 25 years of experience treating women's health concerns including the treatment of hormonal imbalances, menopause imbalances, infertility, anxiety, depression and pain.

Starting her family at the age of forty, Dr. Maria has a special passion in helping women achieve their dreams of motherhood. Over the years, she has helped hundreds of women become moms.

Dr. Maria combines a traditional Chinese medicine approach with her strong support of integrative health care. She encourages her patients to take a holistic approach to their health that includes a healthy diet, exercise, healthy habits, and emotional wellness.

She is a graduate of UCLA and Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences, and completed post-graduate training at Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. Dr. Maria is a Board-Certified Fertility Acupuncturist and Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM).

Emily Edmonds, L.Ac., MSTCM, FABORM
Acupuncturist, Certified Fertility Specialist
Emily is a board-certified fertility specialist (ABORM – American Board of Reproductive Medicine), offering a distinctive and comprehensive approach to reproductive care. Whether enhancing natural fertility or supporting patients through IUI or IVF, she blends the best of Western and Eastern reproductive medicine to provide truly integrative support.

She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California, and has completed advanced training in Sports Medicine acupuncture, combining traditional practices with orthopedic and sports medicine principles.
Emily’s passion for natural medicine began with her own healing journey—finding relief from chronic migraines through acupuncture and herbs after conventional treatments failed, inspiring her commitment to holistic care.
Her clinical focus includes infertility, pain management, and natural support for thyroid, adrenal, and endocrine health. Emily partners closely with her patients to support their individual wellness and fertility goals with compassion and expertise.

Shana Rocklin, L.Ac., MSTCM
Acupuncturist
Shana Rocklin has pursued several passions on the path to Chinese Medicine. Shana is a Certified Nutrition Educator from Bauman College Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts as well as a Certified Horticulturist following her love of gardening. She studied acupuncture at Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley.

She brings her experience and passion for whole-foods nutrition, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and permacultural principles to her work in the clinic, steadfast in the value of cultivating “healthy gardens” in our bodies, minds, and surroundings.

Shana has experience working with pain and women’s health issues. She is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care to help patients thrive at every stage of life, with special interest in mental-emotional wellness, menopause and sleep support, women’s issues, and aging with purpose.
